Theodor Kittelsen’s childhood home is now a museum. It holds annual exhibitions in honour of the artist.

Compagniet art workshops

Compagniet are a group of artists with their own workshops near the harbour on Ytre Strandgate. Visit them and watch as they produce hand-blown glass, ceramics, paperworks and textiles.

Gunnarsholmen Fortress

History of the coastal fortress at Gunnarsholmen goes back to years of warships and pirates. Area is now a park with excellent bathing facilities.
