Bulgaria Eases Visit Visa Procedures for Russians, Ukrainians
The tourism minister of Bulgaria, Nikolina Angelkova and foreign minister Daniel Mitov reached a pact to simplify visit visa procedures for nationals of Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Belarus and Armenia.

A press release of tourism ministry stated that the main intent of the agreement is to boost the number of visitors from key markets such as Ukraine and Russia. The move also form a part of a campaign intended at counteracting the downward trend in early bookings from these nations for the 2015 summer season.

The new regime foresees the issuance of short-term multiple-entry and double-entry visas for scheduled trips. These visas are valid for a period of one year and are given to nationals who hold Bulgarian visas.

Apparently owners of real estate from these nations will also have the opportunity to benefit from the relaxation of visa requirements. Individuals who have not visited Bulgaria before will be able to get double-entry or multiple-entry visas for short-term for private visit purpose with validity period of one year, but those who hold Bulgarian visas will be entitled to three-year visa.

Sources stated that even the minors from these nations will be able to benefit from the relaxed visa requirements. People who wish to visit Bulgaria for tourism purpose or an organized youth camp will be able to receive multiple-entry visas on short-term basis, with a validity period of five years.

Apparently, multiple-entry and Double-entry visas with a validity period of one year will be granted to people with disabilities. Bulgaria adopted similar plans to boost the tourist arrivals in the winter season.
