Expatriates should be permitted with the visa free travel across the GCC
A senior official said that the foreign expatriates who are residing in GCC states must be permitted to take a trip within the six Gulf nations with no necessity of visas.

The assistant director general for entry permit section at the GDRFA in Dubai Salah bin Suloum said that such steps will enhance the regional economy and boost the intra Gulf tourism.

Manafez in an interview said that the move will add in the improvement of tourism across GCC where millions of expatriates are breathing in parallel surroundings in residency rules and security
He also said that the new service will be a pathway for new levels of prosperity which will benefit hotels, airlines, restaurants, car rentals and shopping malls amongst other sectors.

Bin Suloum said that it has also served as trial for what will approach when the combined 15.5 billion dollar GCC rail project that will join the six states, which is completed in the subsequent years.
His observations follow current reports that the GCC is planning to bring in a Schengen style, combined visa for businessmen and tourists for around 35 countries soon.
