India introduces to new visa program to boost tourism

India all set to boost tourism with its new visa scheme
With its new visa program, tourists from many leading nations are now able to get VoA in India, after removing the limitation.

Travelers from selected 43 countries no longer have to queue up at their local consulates for visa but can apply it online and collect them at the airports.

The country in 2012 has received 6.58million tourists, few than certain Asian countries such as Malaysia and Thailand.

The change would boost the tourism industry, said the tourism minister.

He also added a statement that this program is a dream come true and it would show a positive impact on the country's economy.

The main objective of the Indian government is to boost tourism and by the launch of this scheme would defiantly show that Indian is serious about making travel easy to the country.

This was only for 12 countries previously. Tourists from various countries used to wait for weeks to know whether their visa will confirmed after submitting the documents at the visa centres. The new visa program will be available in the 9 major airports in the country.
