Enhancement for Business Tourism

The Government of Northern Territory will spend $1.7 million for attracting more business events for Territory and support "business tourism".

Major Events Matt Conlan and Minister for Tourism last night announced 2013 Budget would "deliver" the funding.

At the Darwin convention center, opening the national conference for event Meetings Australia, Mr Conlan said the fund "will allow the Territory Government to use large business events to grow our tourism industry".

To travel abroad with the purpose of business tourism, the applicant can apply for any of the following visas:

  • Australia business Innovation & Investment (provisional) (subclass 188 Visa)
  • ETA (Business Entrant) (Subclass 956 and 977)
  • E-Visitor (subclass 651)
  • Business (Short Stay) (Subclass 456) visa
  • Sponsored Business Visitor (Short Stay) (subclass 459) visa
  • APEC Business Travel Card

Any of the above business visas allows immigrating to Australia for the purpose of business. But it is mandatory to meet the requirement and eligibility for Australia business immigration.
