Bird watching holidays are a hit with visitors

Last weekend, the fourth "Pannonian Bird Experience" started in Illmitz at lake Neusiedler See in Burgenland. The first few excursions and the additional event have already been fully booked.

Holidaymakers and tourists from Austria and abroad have been appreciating the extensive programme of the "Pannonian Bird Experience" since 2010.

The tour consists of three pillars: there are excursions, lectures and a special fair for optical devices and outdoor clothes.

Every day, there are at least three excursions to different territories of the national park "Neusiedler See-Seewinkel", to the Austrian Danube-March areas and to Hungary and Slovakia. Birdwatchers have come from almost all parts of Austria.

More than half of the 33 excursions had been booked before "Pannonian Bird Experience" even started. There is also a great demand for the 20 lectures, which are held at different venues.

More than 3,000 people visited the one-week-show and the three-day-fair last
